I am working on something new. In the past few weeks, I have felt the need to have a clear intention for what I am trying to create in music.

I have been working on some aspects that I had never given much weight to, and they are giving me a new vision for what I want to express. For example, yesterday I was exploring a cue from some notes that made me think a lot about the concept of “ coming home “.

Writing is relaxing and liberating for me. In this space you will find excerpts and shares from my notes, ideas, insights, reflections thatI want to share with you web readers who follow me, so that we can create a mutual comparison and stimulus to“talk together.”

At first the cell of notes I found resonated with me from a time long ago, then as I began to investigate bit by bit I followed suit. Little by little that cell turned into something familiar but much more evolved, much more like what I feel. Returning home, but in what sense?

Initially, I did not understand where this cell of notes that had decided to come to meet me was trying to take me. Apparently I seemed to be listening to a medieval chant, in the distance, an echo, a succession of colors almost palpable…

I closed my eyes for a moment and everything became clearer. That cell changed shape and became something more recognizable, familiar. “ Returning home ” whispered my soul, “ come home “. And it was at that moment that tears and joy took over, materialized before my eyes an indescribable clarity. A realization has settled in me that this never-ending quest in which I am participating that is life has only made me realize how much further we get from ourselves ( our home ), the more then everything will sound less familiar and distant to us but, at the same time, all this remoteness will be nothing but a great experience to fully learn our essence.

Music is a powerful tool for dancing on these spaces and guiding us home. I want this music to find its space and emotions to encourage people to explore all that they are, with an open heart.

I feel that this time needs our emotions to return to being the fundamental basis on which we evolve and live. Sometimes I wonder, why should I as a man be ashamed if I cry? Or again, is it wrong to clearly show our intentions? (you can learn more about the world of emotions here)

This society we live in has created patterns that are helping to awaken our emotions in us; it will be up to us to choose whether to follow them or continue to appear.

Now I want to leave you who read me with some questions that we can reflect on together:

  • Did you make decisions for your own sake?
  • Did you get a better sense of what gives you pleasure and what doesn’t?
  • How many times have you done things because they were imposed on you?

These and other questions I am trying to answer in music, coming soon… If you want to follow the next articles I will publish on these topics, save this link to your favorites.

See you soon,

Christian Carlino “DeLord”
