menomasia is not just a musical column, but it is an extemporaneous story of what music and art convey and how without them this world would not be so full of life. Enjoy the reading!

EZIO BOSSO – FOLLOWING A BIRD
When the strength of music exceeds all limits
As I write this article, I am in Tokyo. About two weeks have passed since the Sanremo Festival and I found myself on the other side of the world and now, from here, everything seems light years away … almost everything.
In recent years I have come to a sense of spirituality that transcends the natural conception of all that we are taught in our basic Catholic society. Over time I began to explore a world that I discovered I have inside myself, but that I still didn’t know how to use correctly because no one had ever taught me how to do it; little by little I lost myself and found myself inside myself until I reached the point where I could create the freedom and the silence . And it is from this concept that I want to start everything .
When you think in music I often hear that there are rules to follow, that if for example I am playing a piece that has a sequence of four bars, the next one may have as many four or two or six or eight and so on, but I I often use schemes that do not belong to this reasoning and I begin to fly through odd, discontinuous, free sequences, created with the sole purpose of communicating and thrilling without necessarily having to settle on pre-established schemes that are fundamental but sometimes limiting.
Identity, at times, is a rare pearl that we still manage to find, you just need to be ready to listen; many ask me how to do it. To them I happen to answer ” Let the wind of your soul guide you “. And here two weeks ago, while I was following the Sanremo Festival to understand what we would hear in the following months, I met a pianist who made his life with freedom, despite his fight against a disease so devastating that it corrodes you from within a short time. at a time.
Listen to the song performed in Sanremo 2016 by Ezio Bosso ” Following a bird “
This great artist, whom unfortunately I did not know, is called Ezio Bosso . And it is to him that this month goes my reflection that I want to enclose in the strength of the word ” Freedom ” and in this statement made on the stage of Sanremo:
“These passages, as always in my choices, represent a small meta-narrative journey – says Ezio Bosso – There is an ancient theory that says that life is made up of twelve rooms, no one can remember the first room because when we are born we don’t see , but it seems that this happens in the last one we reach. And therefore we can go back to the first one. And start over. “
Now, close your eyes, and imagine your first room.
Maestro Ezio Bosso enchanted and moved the audience of Sanremo 2016: with his music (he performed on the piano ” Following a bird ” taken from his album ” The 12th room “) and with pearls of pure poetry:
“I am so excited that I speak worse than usual. I have to do something that makes me feel good, when I start a concert I say – Hello! – is a beautiful word. […] When I was a kid, this lady used to tell me every day when I went to the conservatory – I’m waiting to see you in Sanremo! – and I said to her – But lady, I don’t sing!“
“We are the Music, the Music is a fortune that we share. It teaches us the most important thing that exists: LISTEN “.
“ Music is a real magic in fact it is no coincidence that the conductors have the wand like the magicians . Music has given me the gift of ubiquity […] Music is a fortune. It is our real therapy ”.
” Music like life can only be done in one way: TOGETHER “
I’ve always dreamed of being able to write freely about music. The article you have just read is part of my project which I called maim (union of words thank goodness so be it); menomasia is not just a musical column, but it is at the same time the hope of being able to continue to pursue music, the real one, experienced in live shows. Outside the traditional commercial schemes.
