Delord’s classical music selected for a short film in Turkey
I recently discovered that my song ” Chasing ” was selected as the soundtrack for the short film Hameln , by directors (at least I think) Gültennur Batmaz / Umut Şilan Oğurlu . Unfortunately it is very difficult for me to find more precise information.
It all started by chance. A few months ago I signed up for a portal because I wanted to find out which videos on Youtube contained my music, and so after a few weeks, I found myself holding a list of about a hundred videos of various genres.
Thus began my careful viewing of each single video, followed by further cataloging and a slight hint of amazement, accompanied by yet another smile of happiness. Well yes: happiness. This great unknown that we usually avoid in our lives (or we usually disguise it in the form of consumerism-happiness). I started wondering how this was possible … and I had an answer in my hand: the Internet. Many of my “colleagues” hate the internet; especially at high levels. << “We lose in terms of sales” “Internet is evil”>>. Whereas, on the other hand, I believe that it is the invention that more than anything else is radically changing the world, deep down. Finally, anyone has the opportunity to prove what it is worth beyond numbers. In fact, in any area we want to put them, the numbers have always been the master. Even before the emotions.
A long time ago, I believed that the best way was that of commerciality in emerging at any cost, just to emerge. Over time (and luckily after so many mistakes) I learned that the only way, the best way to follow, will always remain the way of the heart. It will certainly be the most difficult road to run I realize but, it will be the one that will give me the most satisfaction when one day I will look back and I will still be happy with everything I have always done, without compromising (never), without selling myself (never ), without making everything superficial (ever).
And this is how at this moment I am observing around me my classical music that slowly moves and travels the world in search of people’s emotions, the most hidden. Those emotions that have remained dormant for too long in the depths of our fears, which are now only looking for the right way to escape and take back their place.
