“Dreaming”: first record narrated by the 2009 Delord.
It has been ten years since my first record “Dream Part. I” , and it amazes me to reread the words I wrote then. So much time has passed but Christian DeLord’s purpose remains the same: to bring emotions to life, indeed “toshare my emotions with others,” as I said then.
The year 2021 has been very rich musically, the album l’Essenza was born, and the video clip of “Anema e Core” is continuing to enjoy great success. Maybe that is also why I want to remember the beginnings, I want to spend time in the past, especially if it allows me to understand the evolution of my music and Christian DeLord. What do you say, do you want to take this journey into the past with me?
Dreaming is more than a record, more than piano notes: it is poetry, it is a story, it is love told by the piano of a young and dreamy Christian DeLord. In fact, along with the record I had also created the book “Dreaming” with poems that gave voice to the notes and that I wanted so badly to share with others that I had even raffled everything off for a love poem:

Let’s remember that 2009 was not like today, the web was not as well known, think that Instagram had just been born, but my dream was already broader and I was not afraid to chase it track by track, note by note. And with each new record he got a little closer, but the Christian DeLord of that time tells you!

For you, Carlino, what does it mean to play?
“When I talk to my friends, I always explain that for me playing music is a pleasure . I don’t play with the goal of becoming famous or being on TV, but I do it exclusively to share my emotions with others . .
Now, with reality TV, music seems to have become a sport: one wins the medal and goes home.
Music, on the other hand, is about personal growth, and my goal is to continue composing songs 20 years from now, with the hope that people will follow me by sharing their thoughts.”

I always thought that one day my music might travel free and overcome the barriers that distance imposes on us. It is finally possible. A webcam, an Internet connection, and we are ready. It will be a beautiful experiment with which I want to thank all the people who have been following me for a long time and making everything I do special. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.“
I think that was DeLord’s very first live broadcast: and to think that the very young may never even have seen a webcam. Today the pace has changed, hour-long live streams have been replaced with a 15-second story or a one-minute Instagram Reel…
Of course, the change is remarkable, but they are happy to say that the Christian DeLord of 2012 had thought well: today my music can overcome the barriers that distance imposes, allowing me to reach people who appreciate and share the thoughts behind my songs from anywhere in the world, especially from America, Russia, and Mexico.
That’s why today I tend to tell my story more and more on social media, where I share music, poetry and discover guided meditation with those who follow me. Do you want to be part of this conversation as well?

Christian DeLord’s change of perspective: from the outside to the inside of one’s Essence.
However, perhaps other things besides the medium in which to tell the story have also changed.
A few years ago, I wanted to “write in music about many current and not-so-current social issues that have devastated our culture, our values…”
To find inspiration I would think about everything around me, focusing on the social problems of the time, trying to highlight them, denounce them… hoping that those words, notes or thoughts of mine might have some effect, not so much on the situation as on my way of experiencing them and that of the people who would read or listen to it.
I was looking for inner peace in the outside world, “my soul was asking me to write all this down in music,” and I believed it was the right thing to do.
Today in retrospect, with the years and perhaps experience, I have found a new way to find and communicate peace, to experience the problems of every age in a less destructive way: the solution was not outside, the solution was inside, it is The Essence.
From this discovery was born my latest record, which at its core brings the values of dreaming, brings love, the search for peace through music but in a new guise.

Today I realized that love, eternal beauty and inner well-being are not found only in dreams. Anema e Core tells that beauty is eternal when contained in the souls we can perceive in the places, people, and moments we experience. In those places and streets of Naples, whose sunset lights were the perfect setting in which to make words gush out and turn them into notes…
