A DAY IN CREMONA PIANO<\/strong><\/p>\n

I returned to Bologna.
\nThis day at the fair has helped me a lot; I confronted myself with a world, the classical-academic one, that does not belong to me and I discovered that it is not so bad … many, intrigued, asked what music was the one I played everywhere on every piano I could find ” I am my compositions<\/em> “. Beautiful. Thank you.<\/p>\n

Playing a Steinway grand coda always remains a crazy emotion: there was a stand of a restorer, who had brought a completely refurbished 1926 model but with an ivory keyboard to the fair. It is the model I enjoyed playing the most. It had a keyboard of a crazy sensitivity, so light that just by touching the keys you could create any type of sound and a perfect response of the keys.<\/p>\n

Moving between the stands, I also had the pleasure of meeting the world of Fazioli that until now I had only been able to admire on Youtube played by the immense Bollani. Here too there is no denying … impeccable. I tried a tail, precisely the FAZIOLI F212. Perfect mechanics, incredible sensitivity and a sound so rich and enveloping you can hardly believe it.<\/p>\n

Obviously, the Yamaha stand was not lacking, from which I especially took advantage of the dedication to technological innovation that they apply in a world, that of pianos, where acoustic is king. I tried a new system called “Disklavier”, which allows you to record your performances, play music (a bit like the automatic close-ups of the early twentieth century), and also play on tracks loaded both via usb and via cd. A good news. The CFX model on which I played some of my songs remained immense …<\/p>\n

Finally, I leave a note to my friend Pianoforti Crescendo, who resolved the doubts of a Friday evening spent in front of several bottles of prosecco to ask me if there was a system to automatically turn the piano scores … said, done. At its stand was AirTurn, a system that allows you to turn the pages of scores (loaded on iPad) with your feet.<\/p>\n

\n– Maison & Hamlin<\/strong> ( wessel, nickel & gross<\/strong> ) || the latter with carbon fiber mechanics!<\/p>\n
